Northern Italy Trip - Nicolis Winery - Friday, September 28, 2018 - 2

After the tour, we piled back into the 4x4
and headed to the grappa producer
Nicolis uses.
Under Italian law, the grape must left,
 after making wine, must
be sold to a grappa producer.

After that it would be a very brief stop at our B&B to unload, freshen up and head to dinner.

When I said piled into the 4x4, I meant it.
 Try again, Nadia.
 Are you stuck?
 One more time.
 And we're in.
 A typical view,
on the way to
Distilleria Maschio Pietro.
 Fermentation tanks.

 The still.

 Fresh grappa.

 After fermentation for the grappa,
the used musts are the sold again
to a producer who will press it for
for fine, grape seed oil.
 They drive Lambo's!

Our B&B and the view we enjoyed.

The view from outside the restaurant.

In this photo, the car is parked
in front of the restaurant.

 We determined our private room,
upstairs and in the back,
was an old kitchen.
Another fine meal with great wines.

The same church from the photo.

The next morning, it was up
and on the way to Giorgi.
 Breakfast with a view.

This was the 7 passenger car we were touring
all over Italy in.  A turbo-diesel that was way more comfortable and thought out than it appeared.
