I got up in the morning and looked out the window when I went down for my coffee. At first I wasn't sure I was seeing deer and thought it might be just the play of the light with the mist and the reeds across the lake. When I realized it was truly deer, I sat down in the damp grass and setting my camera to max zoom, both physical and digital, I was able to capture these photos. Living in the South Florida suburbs and nearly on the border of the Everglades, I'm still surprised by what my show up in my backyard.
